Three Athletes In Contention for Young Sports Star Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the last year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.
This year's winner will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The show will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Littler's Profile

The year started for Littler in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
