Los Angeles Erupts in Celebration as Los Angeles Dodgers Secure Back-to-Back World Series Victory
The City of Angels experienced widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Fans across the globe joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the team emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist cruising a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.
Pre-Parade Festivities and Athlete Responses
Festivities started prior to the procession, with supporters lighting fireworks in the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.
The World Series MVP, awarded the MVP of the championship, spoke plainly about the victory.

However, the team owner received a less warm reception at the celebration. Recordings from the gathering appear to show him walking onstage to a mix of cheers and boos, with jeers punctuating his address.
The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year showed equal or greater enthusiasm.
